Societal storms smashing stalwart steeples
Built upon the toils of backbone and fortitude
Taking toll on the block and mortar that bonds blood
Cracking the seams and beams, chipping away foundations
Proud walls once tall fall, all to rubble
Rocky ruins requiring repair, reprieve, recovery
Buttresses crumbling, bulwarks tumbling
Brick brittle, pores soaked and molding
Domiciles awash in the waves of dominant dominion
Swept away, sway, decay so subtle
Crashing down, all around, mound upon mound
None may stand alone as a home, when monarchs master
Those elite who’ve tunneled under, over, encumber
Kingdoms of repression, caste in sandstone
Fallen, failing, systems ailing, in the muddle
Capacities of comparisons, culture contractors con
No morality; absence of equality is evil
Leaving sand shifting, sifting; drifting
Fortresses overrun, burned and sacked
Castles left bereft, demolished, tantamount towers of trouble
